How can you improve the quality of your marketing emails to make them more attractive? Did you know there is a simple structure to be followed so that your emails get more visibility and generate leads to your company?

In this video, John Arnott gathers all the information you need to master marketing emails, by breaking down this structure and introducing some valuable tips for producing better emails.

It all starts with a goal. Every marketing email should have an intended action for the recipient, and the most common one is to engage and convert to a site visit. After defining the goal, there are some other important steps to be followed.

It may sound too simple, but the “from” name and the email address are two important details that can define if a person will or won’t open your email. Chances are that an email address that only showcases the name of the company might just be ignored or judged as spam.

The next important step is to pitch your email with a unique and attractive subject line, with the only intention of getting the person to open it. On the video, you can check out the five main formats to get this done effectively and some other suggestions to engage your reader on the subject line.

The next section that follows the subject line is the preview text, a tool to raise your reader’s curiosity, bringing a little bit more information – just enough to make them want to read the rest of the message.

If you got your reader to open your email, it’s time to have a clear body, reflecting your brand’s voice, and with your goal in mind. If you want to learn more about brand identity and brandscript, you can check out this link:

The message should be written in the second person to a specific avatar, and be straight to the point, leaving the detailed information to the website. It’s important to keep it short, to add links to your target early and often, to have clear calls to action, and a professional signature.

This is just a sample of what you’ll find in this insightful video. Watch it to the end to start writing effective, authoritative marketing emails today. And if you have any other suggestions on how to write better emails, please leave us a comment. We’d love to hear from you.
